I'll play left field

If Soriano doesn't want to play left field, will the Nats let me take a turn?

I don't think his gambit of refusing to play 2nd base is going to win him many fans anywhere. I also don't really understand how the Nats traded for the guy in the first place. Didn't they know this was going to happen?
